Meet the team!

Continuing our "Hello From..." series! It's where we introduce IMC team members - some that you know pretty well and some that work behind the scenes to make the magic happen. You'll learn about each team member's "superpower" (which makes them so valuable to our team), what drives them and other important things like their favorite ice cream flavor.

This month's spotlight is on one of our creative magicians, Samantha Primich.

Hey Sam! What do you do at IMC?

I’m a graphic designer... which means I'm tasked with bringing our client’s ideas and projects to life with fun and engaging visuals. Projects range from print to digital to purely conceptual. But despite working cross-platforms, the goal always stays the same: creating something meaningful through visuals to enhance the shopper experience from the start of their purchase to the end, no matter how they are engaging with a brand.

What do you love most about your job?

Working with my other teammates and picking each other up when things get tough. We are a pretty close-knit group so we are always supporting each other on projects through collaboration. That and our daily lunch brain teaser challenges!

What is your "Superpower"?

Oh easy, I'm a model siloing magician. Never heard of one? (Don't worry, most people haven't lol)... Model siloing is when you have an image of a person, but maybe you don’t like the background they are on. Well, I can fix that. I (magically) pull a person out of a scene and seamlessly place them into a new background of your choice, within reason of course.

Growing up, I had seen a handful of terribly siloed models in ads, so I made it my mission to never let a horrible silo out the door. Photos will never look like a "cut and paste" when they leave my desk.

Favorite ice cream flavor? Cone or cup?

I absolutely love banana ice cream. I know the flavor sounds kind of odd but if you’re ever in Long Beach Island, NJ (LBI for short) stop by Skipper Dipper for a banana ice cream in a waffle cone you won’t regret it, I promise. It’s the best ice cream I’ve ever had, and I’ve never found a flavor that's comparable!

Cone or cup? Waffle cone! It's the best of both worlds!

What is your favorite quote and why?

My favorite quote is “Things happen for a reason”. I’m not really sure where it came from, but it’s something my mom has been saying to me my whole life and it just kind of stuck. I look to this quote in tough times to see the positivity in things. Some things, are just not meant to be. And you can either dwell on them, or keep moving forward. I choose to keep moving forward, always.

Thanks Sam! Stay tuned for more team member introductions...
